About The Position

Alabama Credit Union is offering a temporary, part-time internship in its Card Services Department at the Annex in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The intern will gain practical experience and knowledge of card service operations while working in an active card services environment. The program runs for 10 weeks, from May 25, 2027 through July 30, 2027, with hours Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The intern may occasionally be required to travel to area branches.

The internship also includes personal development classes and participation on a community service project team. Applications are due February 16, 2027. Candidates will be contacted after applications close, and final offers will be made no later than March 15, 2027.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

• Successful completion of coursework in Finance, Investments, or Personal Financial Management.
• Experience working with tax returns.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily tasks and projects, including credit card balancing reports, returned payments, large payments, cards being produced and shipped, and other data entry for the Card Services Department.
• Attend classes designed to support personal development.
• Serve on a community service project team focused on achieving measurable outcomes to be determined by the team.
• Provide friendly and accurate service to members and employees.
• Travel to area branches occasionally, if required.
