About The Position

Teph Seal Auto Appearance is seeking a Car Washer for its detail and reconditioning operations at auto dealerships. The role helps maintain store facilities and provide high-quality service, with a focus on customer satisfaction, courteous service, and timely responses to customer inquiries and complaints. The position involves driving and cleaning vehicles, and may include additional duties assigned by management to meet operational needs. The Car Washer cleans vehicle exteriors and interiors using cleaning solutions, cloths, air compressors, and buffing machines. Duties may include waxing and buffing, vacuuming, cleaning upholstery and surfaces, applying protective chemicals, using dyes, paints, and waxes to protect vehicle materials, and removing grease from engines or engine compartments. This physically demanding role involves frequent movement and repeated entry into and exit from vehicles, and may require working outdoors in varying climate conditions. The employee will move numerous vehicles during the workday, follow uniform and grooming standards, inspect their work and teammates’ work for small imperfections, and work with urgency to respect customers’ time. Employment is contingent on successful completion of drug and background screening.

Requirements

Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
Ability to drive both automatic and manual shift vehicles.

Desire to treat customers’ personal vehicles with care and respect.
Willingness to arrive on time and remain on task during the shift.
Availability to work Saturday or Sunday and holidays as needed to meet production needs.

Ability to distinguish small imperfections in vehicle-cleaning work.
Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and clarity of vision and hearing.

Responsibilities

Wash vehicle exteriors using cleaning solutions.
Wax and buff vehicles using cloths and buffing machines as needed.
Vacuum vehicle interiors and remove dirt and debris.
Clean upholstery and vehicle surfaces.
Use air compressors and cloths to dry surfaces and apply preservation chemicals to protect against spots and stains.
Use dyes, paints, and waxes to protect vehicle leather or fabric as required.
Clean and remove grease from engines or engine compartments as required.
Maintain store facilities to support high-quality service.
Provide courteous service and respond to customer inquiries or complaints in a timely manner.
Move and drive vehicles during the workday, including vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions.
Inspect personal work and the work of other team members for quality.
Carry out additional duties assigned by management to meet operational needs.
Follow uniform and grooming standards and work with urgency to respect customers’ time.
