About The Position

Teph Seal Auto Appearance operates detail and reconditioning centers in auto dealerships across the United States. The Car Washer / Service Washer performs vehicle cleaning and detailing tasks, including washing exteriors, vacuuming and cleaning interiors, drying surfaces, and applying protective products. The role may also involve waxing and buffing vehicles, using dyes, paints, or waxes on leather and fabric, and removing grease from engines or engine compartments. Employees must be flexible and perform additional duties assigned by management based on operational needs. This physically demanding position involves frequent movement, repeated entry into and exit from vehicles, working with and moving numerous vehicles, and potentially working outdoors in varying climate conditions. The employee must inspect work carefully, work with urgency, follow uniform and grooming standards, and treat customers’ vehicles with care.

Requirements

Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
Ability to learn quickly.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
Care and respect when handling customers’ personal vehicles.
Willingness to arrive on time and stay on task during the shift.
Ability to drive both automatic and manual shift vehicles.
Availability to work Saturday or Sunday and holidays when needed to meet production needs.
Ability to perform physically demanding work, including frequent bending, lifting, reaching, squatting, and getting into and out of vehicles.
Ability to occasionally push, pull, lift, or carry up to 50 lbs.
Ability to distinguish small imperfections in completed work and to quality-inspect vehicles.
Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and adequate clarity of vision and hearing.
Successful completion of drug and background screening as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

Wash vehicle exteriors using cleaning solutions.
Wax and buff vehicles using cloths and buffing machines as needed.
Vacuum vehicle interiors and clean upholstery and other surfaces.
Dry vehicle surfaces using air compressors and cloths.
Apply preservation chemicals to protect surfaces from spots and stains.
Use dyes, paints, and waxes to protect vehicle leather or fabric as required.
Clean and remove grease from engines or engine compartments as required.
Move vehicles during the workday and drive both automatic and manual shift vehicles.
Inspect personal work and the work of other team members for imperfections.
Perform additional duties assigned by management to meet operational needs.
Follow uniform and grooming standards and work with urgency while caring for customers’ vehicles.
