About The Position

BMW of Wilmington, a Penske Automotive Group dealership, is hiring Car Washers to clean and prepare display inventory vehicles and provide customers with an excellent experience by making cars shine. Candidates with experience and entry-level candidates with a general labor background will be considered. The role requires safely driving vehicles with both automatic and manual transmissions, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The work takes place in a covered area and outdoors, where employees may encounter heat, cold, hazards, and noise. Standard business hours apply, with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required. The hiring process typically includes a phone interview, in-person interviews, background and reference checks, a driving record review, and a drug screen.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; at least three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to safely drive vehicles with both automatic and manual transmissions.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to understand and follow work rules and procedures, and to carry out written, oral, or diagram-based instructions using common sense.
• Ability to work independently and complete assignments, as well as interact and work effectively with others in a diverse team.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to lift, pull, or push up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, or 10 pounds constantly.
• Ability to stand, sit, crawl, climb, stoop, kneel, reach, and grasp; ability to talk and hear.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
