About The Position

The Captain assists the Managers in overseeing all aspects of dinner service at Restaurant R'evolution. The role provides guests with the finest restaurant service while creating a warm and friendly environment. The Captain follows the restaurant’s service standards, supports colleagues, and delivers passionate, engaging service by recognizing guests and anticipating their needs. The role may also assist in other hotel areas when needed to support operations.

Responsibilities

Follow service guidelines according to the Brand standards in the Service Manual.
Maintain knowledge of all food and beverage menus; present menus, answer questions, make suggestions, and recommend items based on guest preferences.
Write down or memorize guest orders, relay them to the kitchen, and serve courses from the kitchen and service bars.
Observe diners to respond to additional requests and determine when meals are complete.
Follow proper check-out and cash-handling procedures.
Keep the service area and tools clean and organized, and return items to their zoned locations.
Attend ongoing training sessions and assist in training and mentoring new staff.
Follow prescribed organization and cleanliness systems, complete before-, during-, and after-shift paperwork, and follow opening and closing checklists, sidework, and daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
Promote and support Restaurant R'evolution’s vision and mission: “To Cherish the Guest in Every Way.”
Build solid relationships with colleagues and treat them with respect and dignity.
Deliver passionate, engaging guest service by recognizing individual guests, anticipating their needs, and following the GUEST model: greet warmly; use eye and ear contact and the guest’s name; establish or anticipate needs; solve and own requests or complaints; and thank everyone.
Perform other assigned duties and assist in other hotel areas when needed to support operations.
