About The Position

The Captain supervises Security Officers, Lead Officers, and other company personnel assigned to one or more client sites. The role ensures post orders are followed, established rounds are completed, required reports are filed accurately and promptly, and proper authorities and clients are notified during emergencies. The Captain also supports personnel management and site security operations while helping ensure client requirements and service standards are met. The Captain may also perform Security Officer duties in accordance with post orders and company policies.

Requirements

• Former law enforcement or military experience required.
• Five years of security supervisor experience required.

• College degree in Criminal Justice or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coach and discipline personnel appropriately, seeking guidance from company management or designated representatives as needed, and document coaching and disciplinary actions.
• Train Security Officers and other company personnel, and review post orders and assignment details with subordinates.
• Assist with payroll submission and personnel management.
• Coordinate with management to ensure adequate coverage for all posts and positions.
• Meet with client representatives as scheduled or as needed to ensure security requirements are met and quality customer service is provided.
• Prepare, file, and submit required reports.
• Inspect posts and meet with subordinates to outline tasks and responsibilities.
• Ensure post orders are followed, established rounds are completed, reports are submitted accurately and promptly, and appropriate parties are notified in emergencies.
• Interview, orient, and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; coach and appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems; and make hiring and termination recommendations.
• Perform Security Officer duties when needed, in accordance with post orders and company policies.
