National Account Manager Are you ready to take the lead with one of the world’s most influential retailers? At Pure Fishing, we’re driven by performance, partnership, and passion for our brands—and we’re looking for a National Account Manager to help grow and strengthen our business with Key Canadian National Accounts including Walmart Canada. What will you do? The National Account Manager (NAM) is responsible for developing, executing, and strengthening a collaborative business partnership between Pure Fishing and Key National Accounts to deliver volume, share, and profit objectives. This role leads Joint Business Planning efforts and works cross-functionally to align commercial strategies with Walmart’s go-to-market approach.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 7+ years of sales and/or trade experience
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, and persuasive selling skills
  • Experience selling across multiple brands and categories
  • Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and results-driven mindset
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Willingness to travel 30–50%

Nice To Haves

  • Retail or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry experience is a plus
  • Sporting goods industry and recreational fishing experience preferred
  • Experience managing a $10M–$25M+ book of business
  • Walmart Retail Link experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver annual sales, volume, and profitability targets for assigned National Accounts in Canada
  • Develop and execute Joint Business Plans aligned with customer’s strategic priorities
  • Build robust growth plans to secure incremental planogram distribution and increase year-over-year promotional activity
  • Execute consumer- and shopper-driven strategies to achieve best-in-class commercial results
  • Build and maintain strong relationships at the buyer and category manager levels
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Key National Accounts, managing the business directly and indirectly
  • Leverage Pure Fishing’s brand portfolio and product mix to improve profitability and meet customer and shopper objectives
  • Utilize financial, brand, and shopper data to optimize pricing, promotions, and assortment decisions
  • Partner with demand planning to develop accurate sales forecasts and achieve forecast accuracy targets
  • Monitor competitive activity, market share, and shopper trends, communicating insights to Sales, Trade, and Brand teams
  • Work closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance to execute customer plans
  • Negotiate and manage trade funds, ensuring compliance with trade terms while identifying opportunities to improve ROI
  • Provide analytical and presentation support on larger accounts as needed
