About The Position

The Cage Shift Manager assists the Cage/Credit Manager in protecting casino cage assets by implementing accounting and documentation policies and procedures, monitoring transactions, and ensuring compliance with internal controls, gaming regulations, applicable laws, and company policies. During assigned shifts, the manager maintains physical and custodial control of casino cage assets while delivering excellent service to internal and external guests. The role also oversees and develops team members, monitors cage transactions and records, handles guest credit and check-cashing matters, and performs the Casino Cage/Credit Manager’s duties in their absence.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in all facets of cage operations.
• Ability to operate calculators, computers, and money counters for cash and coin.
• Knowledge of a cage computer system.
• Ability to handle high-volume and stressful situations.
• Basic math skills and knowledge of currency.
• Excellent guest-service communication skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain licenses and/or certifications required by local gaming regulations.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain physical and custodial control of casino cage assets during assigned shifts while providing excellent internal and external guest service.
• Supervise, train, evaluate, and coach team members, and assist with employee scheduling.
• Review and monitor documents and transactions for compliance with gaming regulations, applicable laws, and company policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate guest credit records.
• Report and research cage variances.
• Audit and verify transactions with the Table Games Department.
• Approve check cashing and credit issuance in accordance with established policies.
• Resolve guest complaints and disputes professionally.
• Perform the duties of the Casino Cage/Credit Manager in their absence.
• Carry out additional reasonable duties as assigned.
