About The Position

As a Cage Cashier, you pay out winning gaming machine tickets, chips, and tokens to customers who present them. You handle large sums of money and ticket payouts, follow casino procedures, document transactions, and assist customers with gaming procedures and payouts. The position reports to the Cage Supervisor, Shift Manager, or Cage Manager on duty. The schedule is Friday through Tuesday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Pay is $10.00 per hour, plus an average hourly tip rate of $5.72. Weekly Earned Wage Access is available as an option.

Requirements

• Experience handling large volumes of cash.
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
• Knowledge of high-volume cash-handling policies.
• Ability to apply basic math, including arithmetic, ratios, proportions, or conversions.

Responsibilities

• Handle large sums of money and pay out tickets while following casino procedures exactly.
• Ensure required paperwork is signed and placed in shift packets for auditing.
• Obtain the customer’s signature for payouts above the location-set amount before paying the ticket.
• Answer customer and public inquiries about general gaming procedures and payouts.
• Make change and exchange money, credit, tokens, and tickets at customers’ requests.
• Verify customer identification when needed.
• Verify the authenticity of tickets and payout requests.
• Maintain accurate records of monetary exchanges, authorization forms, and transaction reconciliations.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
