About The Position

The Cage Cashier pays out winning gaming machine tickets, chips, and tokens to customers. The role handles large sums of money and requires following casino procedures precisely. The position reports to the Cage Supervisor, Shift Manager, or Cage Manager on duty. The schedule is Friday through Tuesday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Pay is $10.00 per hour, plus an average hourly tip rate of $5.72. Weekly Earned Wage Access is available as an option.

Requirements

• Experience handling large volumes of cash.
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
• Knowledge of high-volume cash-handling policies.
• Ability to apply basic math, including arithmetic, ratios, proportions, or conversions.

Responsibilities

• Pay out winning gaming machine tickets, chips, and tokens to customers.
• Follow casino procedures precisely when handling cash and paying out tickets.
• Ensure required paperwork is signed and placed in shift packets for auditing.
• Ensure customers sign for payouts over the location-set amount before paying the ticket.
• Answer customer and public inquiries about general gaming procedures and payouts.
• Make change and exchange money, credit, tokens, and tickets at customers’ requests.
• Verify customer identification when needed.
• Verify the authenticity of tickets and payout requests.
• Maintain accurate records of monetary exchanges, authorization forms, and transaction reconciliations.
• Perform other assigned tasks.
