About The Position

The Cage Cashier is responsible for the accurate handling of guest and company funds by processing all transactions and documentation in accordance. This role involves exchanging gaming chips and tickets, cashing checks, processing credit/debit transactions, and handling hand pay/jackpot payouts. The Cage Cashier must maintain their till balance and safeguard casino cage assets during their assigned shift. Additionally, they are expected to possess strong communication skills to assist guests with inquiries and advise on current promotions, while maintaining a professional appearance and workstation. Performance of duties requires standing for the majority of the shift, and strict adherence to all Tribal Ordinances, Regulations, Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS), System of Internal Controls (SICS), and Casino Policies and Procedures is mandatory. Other job-related duties may be assigned by a supervisor and/or manager.

Requirements

  • Available nights, weekends, holidays, and other times as deemed fit by manager.
  • Cash handling experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to work with numbers and cash accurately.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to operate calculators, computers and money counters for cash and coin.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret simple documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with frequent changes, delays, and unexpected events.
  • Basic analytical and deductive reasoning ability.
  • Competent in computer skills.
  • Well-organized with a customer-oriented approach.
  • Adaptable and willing to learn new techniques.
  • Must have significant experience in a gaming environment.
  • Complies with policies and procedures.
  • Must be licensable under the requirements of the Northern Arapaho Gaming Agency.
  • Must be 18 years old.
  • Must have a valid Wyoming driver’s license.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
