Cafe Team Member - Fowler Honda Norman
About The Position
Fowler Honda Norman is hiring a team member for Kaizen Cafe. The role focuses on welcoming customers, providing excellent service, taking and preparing food orders in accordance with state health regulations, handling cash, and keeping the kitchen and dining areas clean. The team member is expected to maintain a professional appearance and address customer complaints appropriately, referring customers to the appropriate individuals when needed. The schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with varying days and alternating Saturdays. The job requires a Food Handlers Card Permit. The employer describes physical requirements including frequent standing, walking, and sitting; regular use of hands and arms; occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; and lifting up to 50 pounds on occasion. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Food Handlers Card Permit.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small-group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
- Ability to meet the described physical demands, including lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience in food retail is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers in a pleasant and professional manner.
- Take food orders and prepare food according to state health regulations and requirements.
- Handle cash and ensure the cash drawer balances at the end of each shift change.
- Clean and maintain the kitchen and dining areas.
- Handle customer complaints with integrity and poise, referring dissatisfied customers to appropriate individuals when necessary.
- Maintain a professional appearance.
