About The Position

Outsource is seeking a motivated Cable Technician for field assignments in residential and commercial settings in Tampa, Florida. The role involves installing, maintaining, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing coaxial and fiber optic cabling, along with configuring related customer equipment. The ideal candidate has at least one year of relevant hands-on experience, is reliable and detail-oriented, and can work independently or as part of a crew.

The hourly pay range is $18.00 to $30.00, depending on experience, qualifications, skills, and project requirements. The position offers weekly pay and eligibility for medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement savings plan, and qualifying referral bonuses. Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in cable installation, telecommunications, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of coaxial, fiber optic, and Ethernet cabling systems.
• Ability to use hand tools, testing equipment, and cable installation tools.
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces as needed.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, and repair coaxial and fiber optic cabling for residential and commercial customers.
• Troubleshoot signal issues and resolve connectivity problems in a timely manner.
• Set up and configure cable boxes, modems, and related equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance on cable infrastructure to prevent service interruptions.
• Accurately document work orders, service calls, and equipment installations.
• Communicate clearly with customers to explain services performed and address questions.
• Follow safety protocols when working with ladders, bucket trucks, and electrical systems.
