Cable Technician
About The Position
Our client is hiring lead Cable Technicians to support structured cabling projects in Nashville, Tennessee. The position is hands-on and involves installing, pulling, and terminating copper and fiber cabling in commercial and municipal environments, including office buildings, healthcare facilities, and utility infrastructure. Lead technicians will work with two to three less-experienced technicians. Technicians route cable through conduit, trays, and risers; terminate copper and fiber connections; and test and certify cabling using industry-standard tools. Work may also include assisting with fiber splicing and outside- and inside-plant installations. Technicians follow TIA/EIA and BICSI standards and ensure fire-stop compliance and adherence to safety protocols. This is a contract-to-hire position, fully onsite in Nashville, Tennessee. The stated pay range is $23.00–$27.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of high-voltage systems.
- Knowledge of electrical systems.
- Must be able or willing to climb ladders.
- Cable installation and structured cabling skills, including Cat6 and fiber-optic installation.
- Experience with rack-and-stack work, troubleshooting, and wireless access points.
Responsibilities
