About The Position

The C2-Produce Service role supports the Produce Department by stocking and presenting products according to department schematics, maintaining accurate tags and pricing, and keeping wet racks and work areas clean and sanitary. The position requires developing product knowledge and understanding proper product handling, preparation, seasonality, and shelf life. The employee regularly checks the department’s organization and cleanliness, follows safety procedures, and provides excellent customer service.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of math, weights, and measures.
• Ability to gain an understanding of proper product handling, preparation, seasonality, and appropriate shelf life.
• Strong people skills and ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent customer service skills.

• Previous Produce experience.

Responsibilities

• Stock the Produce Department, including presenting, facing, filling, and organizing products according to department schematics.
• Ensure product tags and pricing are accurate.
• Keep wet racks stocked and clean, and maintain proper temperatures.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, including tables, floors, scales, cases, and coolers.
• Participate in pre-inventory preparation, including organizing back stock and ensuring tags match products.
• Maintain a high level of product knowledge and product preparation knowledge.
• Regularly walk the department to ensure it remains organized, sanitary, and clean.
• Follow all safety practices and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
