About The Position

The C2-Bakery Service role supports the Bakery department by serving customers, processing orders and purchases, packaging and pricing merchandise, and maintaining department displays and inventory. The position also involves following state-mandated Weights and Measures procedures and operating equipment as needed. The supervisor may assign other duties common to the Bakery department.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service, including assessing customer needs, meeting service quality standards, and evaluating customer satisfaction.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of experience preferred.
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take customer orders and provide customer service.
• Operate the cash register and tally customer purchases.
• Count money accurately, effectively, and quickly.
• Package, weigh, and price Bakery department merchandise.
• Maintain the overall department appearance and replenish the Bakery display.
• Perform customer service, clean-up, packaging, and product inventory.
• Follow established state-mandated Weights and Measures procedures (tares).
• Suggest Bakery department products and services to customers.
• Operate equipment and machinery such as a baler or forklift based on operational needs.
• Perform other duties common to the Bakery department as assigned by the supervisor.
