The position supports fuel and kiosk operations, including fuel delivery and inventory documentation, stocking merchandise, cashier functions, cleaning and maintaining kiosks and related equipment, and maintaining required compliance reports and logs. The clerk follows health, safety, merchandising, customer service, loss prevention, maintenance, and food safety rules, reports hazards and incidents, and notifies management of accidents, repairs, safety risks, or illegal activity. The essential functions must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
Requirements
- Effective communication skills.
- Knowledge of basic math, including counting, addition, and subtraction.
- Ability to handle stressful situations.
- Must be 18 or older.
- Must obtain a current alcohol sellers permit once employed.
- Must obtain a current food handlers permit once employed.
- Must be able to meet the minimum physical demands of the position.
- Must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to speak, read, and/or write in a second language.
- Fuel experience.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to local, state, and federal health and civil codes.
- Provide a welcoming customer environment and answer questions about products sold in the department and throughout the store.
- Monitor inventory and stocking conditions and note discrepancies.
- Observe scheduled shift operating hours.
- Understand and perform cashier functions.
- Handle fuel delivery and document fuel inventory.
- Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
- Maintain state, local, and company compliance reports and logs.
- Complete incident and security reports, and clean spills and complete Fuel Spill Reports.
- Maintain knowledge of emergency plan numbers and procedures.
- Stock and inventory merchandise in kiosks.
- Clean and maintain the kiosk, equipment, fuel dispensers, vending machines, trash receptacles, customer surfaces, and the parking area outside the kiosk.
- Follow current merchandising, customer service, labor control, expense and supply control, loss prevention, maintenance, safety, food safety, associate engagement, and customer engagement rules.
- Inspect equipment for preventive maintenance and notify the appropriate department or store manager of items needing repair.
- Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
- Report safety risks, issues, and illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud.
