About The Position

The Cashier is the face of the store, providing exceptional customer service and helping guests have a positive shopping experience. The role involves greeting customers, assisting with retail sales, and accurately handling point-of-sale transactions. The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, customer-focused, communicative, and able to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment. The position requires flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis.

The cashier helps maintain the store’s appearance and cleanliness, stocks and cleans the store, and maintains the cleanliness and management of the gas pumps and the outside area. The role also supports team members and promotes a positive team environment. This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work cards required by the jurisdiction must be provided before the start date, and valid Health and Alcohol Awareness Cards are required.

• Ability to read and communicate verbally in English.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram-based instructions and handle problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 45 pounds.
• Ability to stand, stoop, lift, wipe, reach, and type without assistance.
