About The Position

The Cashier is the face of the store and provides exceptional customer service to ensure guests have a positive shopping experience. The role involves greeting customers, assisting them, and accurately processing point-of-sale transactions. The cashier also helps maintain the store's appearance, cleanliness, organization, inventory stocking, and the cleanliness and management of the gas pumps and exterior. Candidates should be friendly, dependable, customer-focused, and able to communicate effectively, multitask, and remain composed in a fast-paced environment. Flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis, are required. The role has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Cards required by the jurisdiction must be provided before the start date, and valid Health and Alcohol Awareness Cards are required.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret English documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to read and communicate verbally in English.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to stand for long periods and to stand, stoop, lift, wipe, reach, and type without assistance.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
