About The Position

The C-Store Cashier provides customer service and helps ensure guests have a positive shopping experience. The role includes greeting customers, handling point-of-sale transactions, maintaining the store’s appearance, stocking and cleaning, and keeping the gas pumps and exterior clean. The cashier supports team members and contributes to a positive team environment. The position requires multitasking and composure in a fast-paced setting, as well as flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis. The work environment has a usually moderate noise level. Physical demands include standing for long periods, lifting up to 45 pounds, and standing, stooping, lifting, wiping, reaching, and typing without assistance. There are no supervisory responsibilities.

• Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to read and communicate verbally in English.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions and address problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 45 pounds.
• Ability to stand, stoop, lift, wipe, reach, and type without assistance.

Nice To Haves

• Previous point-of-sale experience, retail sales, gas station attendant, or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and greet all customers.
