About The Position

The Cashier is the face of the store, providing customer service and helping guests have a positive shopping experience. The role involves greeting customers, handling point-of-sale transactions, maintaining the store’s appearance, and supporting coworkers. Candidates should be friendly, dependable, customer-focused, effective communicators, and able to multitask and stay composed in a fast-paced environment. Flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis, are required. Work cards required by the jurisdiction must be provided before the start date. The position has no supervisory responsibilities.

• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions and address problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 45 lbs.
• Ability to stand, stoop, lift, wipe, reach, and type without assistance from others.

Nice To Haves

• Previous point-of-sale experience, retail sales, gas station attendant, or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and greet all customers.
• Keep the store clean, neat, organized, and welcoming.
• Process accurate point-of-sale customer transactions.
• Stock and clean the store.
