About The Position

The C-Store Cashier is the face of the store and provides exceptional customer service to help every guest have a positive shopping experience. The role includes greeting customers, assisting with retail sales, and accurately processing point-of-sale transactions. The cashier helps keep the store clean, neat, organized, and stocked, and maintains the gas pumps and the store’s exterior. The position also supports team members and promotes a positive team environment.

The successful candidate is friendly, dependable, customer-focused, communicates effectively, and remains composed in a fast-paced environment. Flexible availability is required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis. The work environment typically has a moderate noise level. Physical demands include standing for long periods and being able to lift up to 45 pounds, as well as standing, stooping, lifting, wiping, reaching, and typing without assistance. Required jurisdictional work cards must be provided before the start date.

• Ability to read and communicate verbally in English; written English communication skills may also be required.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 45 pounds.
• Ability to stand, stoop, lift, wipe, reach, and type without assistance.
