About The Position

The C-Store Cashier is the face of the store and provides exceptional customer service to ensure each guest has a positive shopping experience. The role calls for a friendly, dependable, customer-focused team member who communicates effectively, works well under pressure, and demonstrates a positive attitude and commitment to teamwork and service. Cashiers multitask in a fast-paced environment and work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis. The position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

• Ability to manage and coordinate multiple tasks at once.
• Dedication to integrity, teamwork, and customer service.
• Ability to maintain composure during times of uncertainty.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis.
• Provide jurisdiction-required work cards before the start date.
• Valid Health Card.
• Valid Alcohol Awareness Card.
• Ability to read and interpret documents in English, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to read and communicate verbally in English; written English communication skills may also be required.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions and to address problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 45 pounds.
• Ability to stand, stoop, lift, wipe, reach, and type without assistance from others.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and greet all customers.
• Maintain the appearance of the store so it is clean, neat, organized, and welcoming.
• Process accurate point-of-sale customer transactions.
• Stock and clean the store.
• Maintain the cleanliness and management of the gas pumps and the exterior appearance of the store.
• Support team members and promote a positive team environment.
