About The Position

The C-Store Cashier provides customer service and helps ensure guests have a positive shopping experience. The role includes greeting customers, completing point-of-sale transactions, maintaining the store's appearance, stocking and cleaning, and maintaining the gas pumps and exterior. The position requires multitasking, effective communication, composure in a fast-paced environment, teamwork, and a commitment to customer service. The employee must be willing and able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis. This job has no supervisory responsibilities. A valid Health Card and valid Alcohol Awareness Card are required. Work cards required by the jurisdiction must be provided before the start date. The work environment is usually moderately noisy. Physical demands include standing for long periods, lifting up to 45 pounds, and standing, stooping, lifting, wiping, reaching, and typing without assistance.

Nice To Haves

• Previous point-of-sale experience, retail sales, gas station attendant, or customer service experience is a plus.
• Written communication skills in English may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and greet all customers.
• Maintain the store's appearance, ensuring it is clean, neat, and organized.
• Complete accurate point-of-sale customer transactions.
• Stock and clean the store.
• Maintain the cleanliness and management of the gas pumps and the exterior appearance of the store.
