About The Position

The Cashier is the face of the store and provides exceptional customer service to help every guest have a positive shopping experience. The role involves greeting customers, assisting with retail sales, and accurately handling point-of-sale transactions. The cashier also maintains the appearance, cleanliness, and organization of the store, stocks merchandise, and helps maintain the gas pumps and the exterior of the store. Teamwork and a positive attitude are important. The position requires the ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment, as well as willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis. The work environment is usually moderately noisy. Physical demands include standing for long periods and lifting up to 45 pounds.

• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 45 pounds.
• Ability to stand, stoop, lift, wipe, reach, and type without assistance.
