About The Position

The Cashier is the face of the store and provides exceptional customer service to ensure guests have a positive shopping experience. The role involves greeting customers, assisting with retail sales and point-of-sale transactions, and helping maintain a clean, neat, organized store and gas-pump area. Candidates should be dependable, customer-focused, effective communicators, and able to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment. Flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis, are required. The position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

• Ability to manage and coordinate multiple tasks at once.

• Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis.
• Work cards required by the jurisdiction must be provided before the start date.
• Valid Health Card.
• Valid Alcohol Awareness Card.
• Ability to read and interpret documents in English, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to read and communicate verbally in English; written English communication may also be required.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions and address problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 45 lbs., and stand, stoop, lift, wipe, reach, and type without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and greet all customers.
• Maintain the store's appearance by keeping it clean, neat, and organized.
• Process accurate customer transactions using the point-of-sale system.
• Stock and clean the store.
• Maintain the cleanliness and management of the gas pumps and the store's outside appearance.
• Support team members and promote a positive team environment.
