About The Position

At Deftpower, we are looking for a C#/.NET Backend Developer to join our team. This is a full-time position based in Arnhem. Deftpower is shaping the future of electric charging with its SaaS platform, which helps businesses across Europe make charging simpler, smarter, and more sustainable. The platform uses AI and intelligent software to ensure charging works seamlessly with the energy grid, contributing to a greener and more stable system. The company is experiencing rapid growth due to a recent major investment and is expanding its technology and partnerships in over ten countries. The Deftpower platform is built using C#/.NET, with a heavy reliance on Azure Functions for scalability and a microservice architecture where services communicate primarily via Azure Service Bus. Data storage utilizes Cosmos DB and Azure SQL databases, with monitoring and logging handled by Application Insights, Grafana, and Power BI dashboards. The user interface is developed in Angular, and mobile applications use React Native. The company prioritizes using Azure's PaaS components for scalability and staying up-to-date. As a Backend Developer, you will co-develop the SaaS platform, joining the Smart Charging team to solve complex problems and contribute ideas to the product. The role operates on six-week Shape Up cycles, emphasizing focus, ownership, and concrete delivery. Collaboration and team activities are highly valued.

Requirements

3+ years of professional experience as a Backend Developer
Strong knowledge of C# .NET, microservices architecture and CI/CD practices
Experience with Azure PaaS components such as Service Bus, Function Apps, Container Services, Azure SQL or CosmosDB
Valid work visa for working in NL
Willingness to come to the office in Arnhem a few times a week

Responsibilities

Design and build backend services in C#/.NET using Azure Functions and microservice architecture
Integrate external systems and create secure, scalable solutions with Cosmos DB, Azure SQL and Service Bus
Monitor and improve performance with Application Insights, Grafana and Power BI
Brainstorm and experiment with your squad to deliver innovative features
Collaborate with Developers, Wierd as Team Lead and Sander as Product Owner
