About The Position

The Busser-Asian provides servers and guests with a clean, stocked dining room. The role maintains safe and sanitary dining areas by cleaning and resetting tables, replenishing dining supplies, and keeping restaurant stations clean. It also supports guest service by welcoming guests, taking and delivering beverage orders, responding to requests, and sharing current information about promotions and giveaways. Duties may be added, deleted, or changed at the sole discretion of Sycuan Management.

Requirements

• County of San Diego Food Handler Card.
• Ability to work effectively with team members and guests.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and composure.
• Ability to understand verbal directives and written instructions.
• Ability to routinely lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Ability to accept constructive criticism.
• Ability to complete forms and documents.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours at a time.
• Ability to bend, stoop, push, and pull.
• Ability to work in a smoking environment.
• Ability to appear for work on time.

Responsibilities

• Clean table and chair surfaces, empty ashtrays, replace used tablecloths, plates, cups, and utensils, sweep floors, transport bus carts to the dishwashing station, dispose of trash, and reset tables as needed.
• Acknowledge and welcome guests entering the restaurant, take beverage orders, deliver requested beverages, and respond to guest requests.
• Stock server stations with delivered water, food supplies, cups, and condiments.
• Clean coffee machines, soda machines, sinks, shelves, and counters according to established procedures.
• Promote guest relations by providing requested assistance and product knowledge, sharing current information about promotional contests and giveaways, and treating guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
