About The Position

The Busser clears used tableware, napkins, and refuse from tables; wipes tables and chairs; and removes debris and crumbs from the surrounding floor. The role resets tables to established standards, keeps bus stations clean and stocked, retrieves clean dishes and supplies, and supports waitstaff and guests. The position requires basic knowledge of restaurant operations and the ability to perform frequent physical tasks, including lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds, standing continuously, and moving throughout the restaurant.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of restaurant operations.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds, including serving trays, carts, tables, chairs, and small equipment, up to 75% of the time.
• Ability to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle, and finger throughout the shift.
• Full range of mobility and ability to travel up to 300 feet regularly throughout the shift.
• Ability to stand continuously during preparation, service, or expediting.
• Ability to read meters and controls.

Responsibilities

• Clear used tableware, napkins, and refuse from tables and take them to tubs in the bus station; wipe tables and chairs and clear debris and crumbs from nearby floor areas.
• Reset tables according to established standards so new customers can be seated promptly.
• Take full tubs from bus stations to the dishwashing area and keep bus stations clean, orderly, and well stocked.
• Retrieve cleaned dishes, glassware, and utensils from the dish room and distribute them to service stations.
• Sweep restaurant floors throughout the shift.
• Retrieve requisitioned items from the stockroom, verify requisitions, and stock supplies in the proper places while rotating stock.
• Assist waitstaff by refilling beverages and responding to requests for condiments, food items, or clean tableware.
• Keep ice stations filled by carrying ice from the main ice machine.
• Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor.
• Perform other duties assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management.
