About The Position

The Foundry Grill is seeking a Busser to join their team. This is a part-time, year-round position with variable shifts available Monday through Sunday, including AM and PM shifts. The Busser is responsible for greeting guests warmly, ensuring the dining room is prepared for service to the Sundance standard, and assisting servers with food service and table clearing. A key aspect of this role is maintaining a clean and organized environment, resetting tables promptly, and stocking service stations. The ideal candidate will be motivated, helpful, and contribute positively to the guest experience. Buffing silverware and glasses, and completing side work are also essential duties. The role requires good product knowledge to answer guest questions and the confidence to handle various situations professionally. Maintaining a neat appearance in a designated uniform and working cooperatively with dishwashers are also important.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous food service experience.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Must have or obtain a current food handlers permit within 30 days of employment.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.

  • Prior serving or bussing food service experience in a full service restaurant preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet each guest.
  • Ensure dining room is set and ready for service to the Sundance standard.
  • Deliver water (bottled or tap) to guests and refill glasses as needed.
  • Assist in the service and clearing of food as directed by the server.
  • Ensure proper sequence of service for all guests.
  • Reset tables within two minutes of the guest's departure.
  • Be motivated to stay productive, helpful, and impactful to the guest experience in a positive manner.
  • Stock service stations and buss trays.
  • Buff silverware and glasses.
  • Exhibit job and product knowledge sufficient to provide guests with accurate information in all aspects of food, service, and resort information.
  • Exhibit self confidence to the degree necessary to handle a variety of situations in a positive and professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean and neat appearance while wearing a complete, wrinkle free, designated uniform and name tag.
  • Complete pre-service and end of shift side work including cleaning and closing responsibilities.
  • Work cooperatively with dishwashers ensuring dirty dishes are handled to protocol.
  • Ensure work is inspected by management prior to departing.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude when speaking about guests and fellow employees.
