About The Position

The Busser / Runner supports dining operations at the Condado Vanderbilt Hotel by maintaining clean and orderly dining areas and assisting wait staff and kitchen staff in delivering exceptional guest service. The role includes welcoming and acknowledging guests, anticipating and addressing service needs, and helping ensure guests have a positive experience. The position also supports inventory, closing procedures, safety, and team coordination.

Requirements

• Hospitality-oriented.
• Able to handle difficult situations effectively.
• Able to work quickly and efficiently, especially under pressure.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Flexible to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Technical food and beverage knowledge and expertise.
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate and address their service needs, and thank them with genuine appreciation.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in dining areas while supporting wait staff and kitchen staff.
• Clear and reset tables promptly.
• Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to dining areas and assist with additional guest requests.
• Keep utensils, napkins, condiments, and other necessary supplies stocked and readily available.
• Wipe down tables, chairs, and other surfaces, and sweep and mop floors.
• Assist kitchen staff with running food orders, organizing dishware, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness.
• Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs.
• Secure items and storage areas at the end of each closing shift and complete closing duties.
• Prepare a daily purchasing list to maintain healthy inventory levels as directed by the manager.
• Follow company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the supervisor; and complete safety training and certifications.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships and support the team in reaching common goals.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, and protect confidential proprietary information.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
