About The Position

The Busser / Runner supports restaurant and kitchen staff in maintaining clean, orderly dining areas and providing exceptional service to guests at the Condado Vanderbilt Hotel. The role includes welcoming guests, anticipating service needs, promptly clearing and resetting tables, delivering food and beverages, and keeping supplies stocked. It also involves routine cleaning, assisting kitchen staff, monitoring replenishment needs, completing closing duties, and preparing a daily purchasing list as directed by the manager. Team members are expected to follow company, safety, and security policies, maintain professional appearance and confidentiality, and contribute to a positive and effective team.

Requirements

Hospitality-oriented.
Able to handle difficult situations effectively.
Able to work quickly and efficiently, especially under pressure.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
Flexible to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Technical knowledge and experience in food and beverage.
Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

Welcome and recognize guests according to company standards, anticipate and address their service needs, and thank them with genuine appreciation.
Maintain clean and orderly restaurant areas while supporting restaurant and kitchen staff in delivering exceptional guest service.
Clean and reset tables promptly to support efficient turnover and cleanliness.
Assist servers by delivering food and beverages from the kitchen to dining areas and helping with additional guest requests.
Keep supplies such as utensils, napkins, and condiments stocked and available to guests and staff.
Clean dining areas regularly, including tables, chairs, and other surfaces, and sweep and mop floors.
Assist kitchen staff with tasks such as carrying food orders, organizing dishes, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness.
Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs.
Secure items and storage areas at the end of closing shifts and complete closing duties.
Prepare a daily purchasing list to maintain healthy inventory levels as directed by the manager.
Follow company, safety, and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the manager; and complete safety training and certifications.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships and support the team in reaching shared goals.
Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, and protect confidential proprietary information.
Ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards.
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
