About The Position

The Busser / Runner supports STK San Juan’s restaurant team in delivering exceptional guest service. The role involves welcoming and acknowledging guests, anticipating their needs, keeping restaurant areas clean and orderly, promptly clearing and resetting tables, and assisting servers by delivering food and beverages and responding to additional guest requests. The position also supports kitchen operations, maintains supplies, completes cleaning and closing duties, and helps monitor inventory.

Requirements

• Hospitality-oriented.
• Ability to handle difficult situations effectively.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently, especially under pressure.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Technical knowledge and experience in food and beverage.
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate and address their service needs, and thank them with genuine appreciation.
• Maintain clean and orderly restaurant areas while supporting restaurant staff and the kitchen team.
• Clean and reset tables promptly to support efficient turnover and cleanliness.
• Assist servers by delivering food and beverages from the kitchen to dining areas and helping with additional guest requests.
• Keep necessary supplies, including utensils, napkins, and condiments, stocked and available.
• Clean dining areas regularly, including tables, chairs, and other surfaces, and sweep and mop floors.
• Assist kitchen staff with tasks such as carrying food orders, organizing dishes, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness.
• Anticipate and communicate restocking needs.
• Secure items and storage areas at the end of closing shifts and complete closing duties.
• Prepare a daily shopping list to maintain healthy inventory levels as directed by the manager.
• Follow company and safety policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the manager; and complete safety training and certifications.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships and support the team in achieving common goals.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, and protect confidential information.
• Ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
