About The Position

The Business Solution Engineer works in the Digital practice, which brings application development, engineering, cloud, and modernization together to address complex technology challenges. The role combines technical solution design and delivery with client-facing work across data, analytics, AI/ML, automation, and digital transformation.

The position modernizes applications and architectures, builds digital products, designs and optimizes cloud environments, integrates systems, and automates development and delivery processes. It also develops data warehouses, data models, cloud-based data pipelines, analytics and visualization solutions, and data management and governance capabilities. The engineer partners with client teams to understand business objectives and data challenges, leads workstreams and workshops, presents findings and recommendations, and supports transformation initiatives from proof of concept through implementation and knowledge transfer.

The role may also serve in a leadership and Solution Architect capacity, helping shape the strategic direction of AI/ML, automation, and Data Analytics functions. Client work may cover M&A lifecycle projects, finance transformation, enterprise data strategy and governance, process improvement and automation, system implementations and migrations, and data and automation strategy and roadmapping. Travel of up to 25% may be required.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of data and product development experience.
• Experience architecting and developing AI/ML solutions.
• Ability to lead workshops, gather and document requirements and use cases, and recommend envisioned processes.
• Experience presenting to C-suite audiences.
• Industry experience in Financial Services, FinTech, Banking, Technology, or SaaS.
• Understanding of Waterfall and Agile software development lifecycles and their associated artifacts.
• Experience identifying and correcting problems in imperfect data and processes.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent number of years of experience.
• Flexibility to accommodate travel up to 25%.

Nice To Haves

• Experience programming in Python, SQL, and/or R.
• Experience using GitHub for source code management.
• Experience with commercial analytics, automation, and AI/ML tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, Power Automate, UiPath, Automation Anywhere, AI/ML/GenAI platforms, Informatica, or Oracle EDMC.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and build teams that deliver.
• Business skills and experience in accounting, corporate finance, and FP&A.
• Familiarity with the M&A transaction lifecycle.
• Master’s degree in Business or a related field.
• Experience managing technical development as a liaison between technical teams and the user community.

• Manage project workstreams, balancing technical execution with client communication and delivery timelines.
• Present findings, recommendations, and solution designs to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Use AI-assisted development environments to design, generate, test, and iterate on production-quality analytics and data engineering code.
• Support data transformation initiatives, including system implementations, migrations, and modernization efforts.
• Participate in internal knowledge sharing, mentoring, and career development.
• Help shape the strategic direction of AI/ML, automation, and Data Analytics functions in a leadership and Solution Architect role.
• Deliver data management, data governance, dashboard monitoring, data quality dashboards, data controls, data lineage, and data mapping work.
• Support M&A lifecycle, finance transformation, enterprise data strategy and governance, process improvement and automation, system implementation and migration, and data and automation strategy and roadmapping initiatives.
• Identify insights using statistical, algorithmic, data-mining, and visualization techniques.
• Conduct client stakeholder interviews to identify process and data challenges.
• Develop analytical proof-of-concept prototypes or large-scale analytical platform implementations.
• Develop business procedures and data management policies to ensure data accuracy and control.
• Create model documentation, develop implementation roadmaps, and perform knowledge transfers.
