About The Position

Nuance Labs is seeking a Business Operations Associate to help manage day-to-day operations and build the foundation for the company’s growth. The role owns day-to-day finance operations, including expense tracking, vendor payments, and month-end close, and supports cross-functional and special projects throughout the company. It emphasizes dependable finance execution and practical problem-solving, with responsibility for creating processes and systems as the business grows.

Requirements

1–4 years of experience in finance, consulting, or startup operations.
Proven ability to tackle unstructured problems and deliver results.
Care about building teams and shaping a positive, high-performing culture.
Resourcefulness in navigating finance, HR, and other processes, and ability to build order where none exists.
Ability to partner with the team to turn vague needs and early-stage ideas into structured processes, anticipating problems and solutions.
Enjoy wearing multiple hats and thrive in a small, ambitious, high-trust team.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day finance operations, including expense tracking and vendor payments.
Coordinate month-end close with the external accountant.
Find ways to make company spending smarter.
Own cross-functional projects from start to finish.
Build and maintain internal communication systems that keep the team aligned as it scales.
Create new processes and systems from scratch as the company grows.
