About The Position

The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis’ Treasury Services Department supports U.S. Treasury retail financial products, such as United States Savings Bonds. The Business Operations Analyst supports the Savings Bond Examination team by providing subject matter expertise, proposing and implementing process efficiencies, driving innovation, enhancing the customer experience, and supporting core operations. The role uses data-driven decision-making, manages multiple priorities, and influences others. It requires regular on-site attendance and is a regular, full-time, non-exempt position on the first shift.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 5 years of related experience.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to interface with customers and resolve issues, follow and explain operating policies and procedures, and achieve service levels while meeting high productivity and quality standards.
• Ability to adjust quickly to changing technologies and responsibilities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Proficient computer skills, including data entry and navigating multiple applications concurrently.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications, internet and web-based applications, and email systems.
• Skills in some or all of the following areas: problem solving, adaptability and flexibility, attention to detail, interpersonal communication, verbal and written communication including active listening, and time management.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident alien with at least three years of legal residency.

Responsibilities

• Provide Savings Bond Examination subject matter expertise to peers and leaders.
• Develop and recommend opportunities to improve process performance.
• Identify customer trends and opportunities to drive efficiencies.
• Coordinate or participate in system and software testing, including research and feedback.
• Design, develop, and conduct operational data collection, analysis, problem resolution, and reporting for stakeholders.
• Participate in key initiatives and special projects as assigned.
• Partner with supervisors to monitor workload, coordinate resources, and assign work to meet service commitments.
• Support assessment, reporting, and resolution of system or technical issues.
• Independently respond to and resolve routine technical customer requests received through multiple channels, using applications, tools, databases, and other resources.
• Comply with applicable information security and Treasury guidelines and procedures.
• Communicate with Treasury Retail Securities customers to maintain good customer relations and provide excellent customer service.
• Help team members interpret guidelines and regulations and recommend changes to procedures.
• Maintain advanced business expertise and adapt to changing technology, processes, procedures, and controls.
• Serve as an escalation point, provide training, and foster teamwork.
• Assist other business units or provide coverage at specified times to accommodate business needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
