The Business Information Consultant serves as an expert in data analysis and reporting, formulates recommendations, and provides guidance to other data analysts. The role creates and maintains business-performance databases; analyzes data using summary statistical procedures; and develops reports on areas such as claims, provider data, and utilization, identifying performance deviations and anomalies. It creates periodic and ad hoc reports and translates business issues and requirements into diagnostic or tracking data and decision-support tools. The consultant makes recommendations based on analysis, provides analytic consultation to business areas, leadership, and external customers, and performs analysis and reporting at a significantly higher level of complexity. This hybrid role requires associates to work in-office 1–2 days per week. The preferred office is the Pulse Point location in Norfolk, Virginia; alternate locations may be considered for candidates within commuting distance of an office. Candidates outside a reasonable commuting distance will not be considered unless an accommodation is granted as required by law.
