About the position
This role as a Business Development Representative at Contentful is a crucial touchpoint for customers and prospects, serving as a key driver of digital transformation and exceptional customer experiences. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to interact with customers across various industries, working closely with Regional Sales Executives to generate new business in the DACH Region. Additionally, the role includes participation in Contentful's training program, aimed at developing top-performing sellers within the organization. The ideal candidate should possess strong sales, lead generation, and marketing experience, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Gain in-depth knowledge of customers, industry, and Contentful's solution offerings
- Manage campaigns and reach out to new prospects
- Conduct lead generation activities, including strategic research on LinkedIn and other hunting tools, outbound prospecting, calling, emailing, and social outreach
- Book at least 1 sales appointment per day and input all activities in CRM
- Send weekly activity reports to sales leadership
- Collaborate with assigned Account Executives and hand off qualified prospects
- Educate AEs on the complete qualification meeting details (SLAs)
- Meet or exceed opportunity and pipeline targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Build relationships with decision-makers and key executives in all industries and verticals
- Have 1+ years of experience in Sales, Lead Generation, or Marketing (SaaS experience preferred)
- Be a strong team player with a self-starter attitude
- Have fluent English and German language skills (multi-lingual preferred)
- Be an enthusiastic and engaging communicator comfortable working with large groups
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Have a positive outlook with a "scoreboard mentality" of wanting visible and measurable success
- Have excellent listening skills and coachability
- Be able to stay flexible and productive in a fast-changing environment with multiple priorities
Requirements
- 1+ years experience in Sales, Lead Generation, Marketing, SaaS experience preferred
- Strong team player with a self-starter attitude
- Fluent English & German language skills are a must
- Multi-lingual preferred
