About the position
The Business Development Representative at Tackle will play a pivotal role in the company's growth and will directly interface with customers on a daily basis. They will be responsible for owning the full sales cycle, conducting outbound cold calls, delivering customer demos, and achieving target sales quotas. The ideal candidate should have at least 1 year of sales experience, be comfortable reaching out to cold leads through multiple communication channels, and have excellent time management and problem-solving skills. They should also have a customer-first mindset and a desire to work on a small, dedicated, and agile startup team.
Responsibilities
- Own the full sales cycle from qualifying the lead to closing the sale
- Conduct outbound cold calls, deliver customer demos, and achieve target sales quotas
- Manage pipeline of active leads and utilize sales software to record notes, track updates, and progress leads through the sales process
- Refine and iterate sales messaging and contribute to growth team brainstorming sessions on improving the sales process
- Relay product learnings to the team as you uncover insights on sales and customer calls
- Reach out to cold leads through multiple communication channels with an enthusiasm for developing sales skills
- Demonstrate advanced time management skills with the ability to multitask through a high volume of relationships/initiatives
- Maintain a customer-first mindset and problem-solving skills
- Work on a small, dedicated, and agile startup team
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

Requirements
- 1+ years experience in sales (bonus if in SMB sales)
- Comfort with reaching out to cold leads through multiple communication channels (phone, email, etc.)
- Advanced time management skills and ability to multitask
