About the position
As a Business Development Representative at Airtable, the successful candidate will be responsible for expanding the company's customer base beyond its current 100,000+ organizations. They will identify new opportunities across the entire customer journey and develop outbound strategies to get them on board with Airtable. The ideal candidate will have experience in sales or a related field, exceptional storytelling skills, and strong analytical capabilities. They will be a self-starter who is excited to build this role from the ground up. The base salary for this role is $85,000 for work locations in Austin, Texas.
Responsibilities
- Generate sales-ready meetings for Account Executives using Airtable’s qualification criteria.
- Utilize active listening skills to understand and uncover customer needs and business problems to effectively communicate how Airtable can solve them.
- Identify high-potential areas of growth/new opportunity and develop and execute outbound strategies to get them on Airtable.
- Develop strong sales and product knowledge.
- Help scale the sales organization through operational innovation.
Requirements
- 1 year of sales or related experience
- Experience crafting outbound strategies, measuring results and optimizing and scaling those efforts
- Good business acumen and ability to understand how Airtable provides different value to different customers depending on their role, industry, technical aptitude
- Exceptional storytelling skills, comfortable pitching Airtable to just about anyone, anywhere
- Excellent prioritization and project management skills
- Self-starter and excited to build this role from the ground up
- Strong analytical capabilities complemented by superior written and verbal communication skills.
