About the position
As a Business Development Representative at Airtable, your role will be to expand the company's customer base and increase its market reach. You will be responsible for generating sales-ready meetings, understanding customer needs, and developing outbound strategies to attract new opportunities. The ideal candidate should have sales experience, strong business acumen, exceptional storytelling skills, and excellent prioritization and project management abilities. Responsibilities
- Generate sales-ready meetings for Account Executives using Airtable's qualification criteria.
- Utilize active listening skills to understand and uncover customer needs and business problems to effectively communicate how Airtable can solve them.
- Identify high-potential areas of growth/new opportunities and develop and execute outbound strategies to get them on Airtable.
- Develop strong sales and product knowledge.
- Help scale the sales organization through operational innovation.
Requirements
- 1 year of sales or related experience
- Experience crafting outbound strategies, measuring results, and optimizing and scaling those efforts
- Good business acumen and ability to understand how Airtable provides different value to different customers depending on their role, industry, technical aptitude
- Exceptional storytelling skills, comfortable pitching Airtable to anyone, anywhere
- Excellent prioritization and project management skills
- Self-starter and excited to build this role from the ground up
- Strong analytical capabilities complemented by superior written and verbal communication skills

- Compensation awarded based on work location, relevant skills, and experience
- On target earnings of $85,000 for work locations in Austin, Texas
