Remote Business Development Manager-Heavy Civil

Kimmel & Associates•San Francisco, CA
•$200,000 - $220,000•Remote

About The Position

Our client, a well-established general engineering contractor with decades of experience delivering complex infrastructure and civil construction projects, is seeking an entrepreneurial, relationship-driven Business Development Manager to establish and grow its presence in the Las Vegas and Nevada market. The contractor specializes in pipeline and underground wet utilities, facilities, private development, and concrete and pavement construction, and is investing in expansion into Nevada. This newly created, fully remote role offers ownership of a market and autonomy to help build it. The focus is identifying and developing opportunities involving pipeline and underground water infrastructure projects, typically ranging from $1 million to $60 million. The successful candidate will open doors, build strategic relationships, generate opportunities that can become awarded work, and help shape the company's long-term business development strategy and market expansion. This is not a treatment plant or vertical construction business development role. Candidates from other relationship-driven industries, including commercial real estate, industrial or materials sales, account management, and other client-facing business development roles, are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Approximately 5–10 years of business development, sales, account management, or relationship-driven experience.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently and build a market through personal initiative.
  • Comfort working remotely while maintaining a highly visible presence in the target market.
