About The Position

Gartner’s Business Development Executive acquires new clients by developing trust-based relationships with C-level executives, understanding their mission-critical priorities, and identifying opportunities to deliver client value. The role owns the full sales cycle, from prospecting and outreach through negotiation and close, then transitions new clients to the account management team. The position is assigned a territory of Large Enterprise prospects, including organizations with no existing Gartner spend and clients working with other Gartner areas. In the GBS Large Enterprise segment, prospects have more than $1 billion in annual revenue. The Business Development Executive builds a pipeline and book of business over time, manages complex, high-revenue sales across matrixed and diverse environments, and is accountable for territory quota, sales metrics, forecasting, and account planning. The role requires travel as needed and offers a hybrid work environment. Gartner describes a promote-from-within culture with potential progression into senior Business Development roles, account management, or sales leadership. The company offers sales training and development, competitive compensation, and benefits.
