About The Position

Gartner’s Business Development Executives expand the company’s global presence by acquiring new clients and building trust-based relationships with C-level executives. The role owns the full sales cycle—from prospect identification and outreach through negotiation, close, and transition of new accounts to the account management team. The position is responsible for a territory of Mid-Sized Enterprise prospects, including organizations new to Gartner and clients who may already work with other Gartner areas. Mid-Sized Enterprise clients have up to $1 billion in annual revenue. The role combines pipeline development, quota ownership, complex sales management, forecasting, and account planning, while collaborating with account management teams to provide an exceptional client experience. The role uses Gartner’s hybrid work model, with virtual work and office attendance when there is a business reason. In-office experiences may take place several times each week, depending on the sales region. Candidates must live within a commutable distance of a Gartner center of excellence in Fort Myers, Florida; Irving, Texas; Barcelona, Spain; London, England; Gurgaon, India; Singapore; or Sydney, Australia.
