About The Position

The Business Development Volunteer at StartX is a strategic role focused on identifying and cultivating relationships with corporate entities, government agencies, and university hubs. While you will be embedded within a project team, your primary goal is to act as a "connector"—securing the resources, visibility, and community ties necessary to help our founders thrive. This is an ideal role for Stanford students looking to deepen their footprint in the global innovation and venture capital landscape.

  • Aptitude for Leadership: Volunteers who demonstrate high skill in partnership management will have the opportunity to move into a Project Manager role.

Responsibilities

  • Ecosystem Prospecting: Conduct deep-dive research to identify potential corporate and community partners that align with StartX’s mission.
  • Partnership Strategy: Participate in strategy brainstorming sessions to identify how external partners can better support our founders and programs.
  • Execution & Deliverables: Work closely with a Project Manager to meet specific BD growth goals, including the creation of pitch decks, partnership proposals, and impact reports.
  • Marketing Collaboration: Assist the marketing team in highlighting successful partnerships and community milestones to increase the StartX brand equity.
