About the position
The Business Development Analyst role at Rhombus is a fast-paced position that involves managing diverse client issues and delivering innovative solutions to improve business processes and mitigate risks. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to collect and analyze business information, formulate hypotheses, and develop and communicate business recommendations to upper management. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and problem solver, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted partnerships with senior leaders and clients. Additionally, this role involves working closely with the CEO and executive team, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decisions and strategic planning.
Responsibilities
- Uncover and share critical insights that shape roadmaps and AI platform
- Work closely with CEO and executive team
- Collaborate with product, program, engineering, and marketing teams to scale insights and reporting infrastructure
- Conduct impactful analyses on revenue, market, and product trends
- Design and execute standard cadence of operations for forecasting, revenue and operational KPI reviews, and key accounts/partner segment reviews
- Design and drive planning activities to enable effective, analytically-driven and strategic operating decisions
- Define and analyze product metrics and KPIs to identify opportunities for increased customer conversion, retention, engagement, and lifetime value
- Review and advise on standard protocols and tools/dashboards for automation and efficiency
- Work closely with program managers, finance, legal, HR, and other functional groups in contract management
- Execute critical projects and initiatives with cross-functional teams
- Provide guidance in developing strategic partnerships by assessing viability and return on investment
Requirements
- BA/BS in an analytical field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business or related field)
- At least 3 years of work experience (or 1+ years with MBA/ Master's degree) in an analytical role such as product or sales analytics, business intelligence, or similar
- Strong analytical skills and ability to conduct impactful analyses on revenue, market, and product trends
- Ability to read balance sheets and P&L statements
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to form trusted partnerships with senior leaders, clients, and cross-functional teams
- Exceptional multitasking, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in financial modeling and ability to analyze financial status and projections
- Experience in contract management and ability to manage contracts, resolve contractual issues, and support business development efforts
- Strong project management skills and ability to execute critical projects and initiatives with cross-functional teams
- Ability to design and drive strategic planning activities to enable effective and strategic operating decisions
- Familiarity with automation tools and dashboards for efficiency and scalability
- Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
