About The Position

The Business Analyst will work in a Scrum Agile environment to deliver software. This role involves leading and conducting business analyses to formulate and make recommendations, identifying and defining solutions to business problems through the creation and documentation of systems and process specifications. The analyst will be responsible for creating, documenting, and leading the scrum team backlog, including writing user stories and acceptance criteria, supporting prioritization, and running refinement sessions. Collaboration with business partners, development teams, external vendors, and QA on plans, project management, requirements, design, testing, and implementation of solutions throughout the development lifecycle is key. The role also includes supporting deployment, business readiness, and solution enablement, such as defining and documenting enablement tasks, supporting user procedure documentation, creating and delivering solution training to internal teams, and communication. The analyst must be able to prioritize multiple initiatives and business analysis tasks simultaneously.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3 - 5+ years Systems Development Business Analyst experience, ideally working in an Agile Scrum environment, with proven ability to work across multiple multi-functional teams
  • Solid understanding of the Fidelity business with work experience in health care and/or benefits administration and/or product development
  • Shown expertise in various business analysis methodologies and techniques, including data analysis, use case development, story writing, user acceptance testing, and product documentation
  • Solid grasp of the architecture and deployment needed to support web development
  • Skilled in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
  • Experience with JIRA or similar agile backlog management and testing tool
  • Excellent listening, communication (verbal and written), and presentation skills
  • Highly organized and have a strong ability to prioritize and work under tight deadlines
  • Skilled at building relationships, fostering strong teams, and influencing others
  • Self-motivated, phenomenal teammate with the ability to plan and complete work independently, and partner optimally to handle dependencies
  • Excellent business judgement and maintain confidentiality of all data

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Business Analysis Professional® (CBAP®) certification or Certified Scrum Product Owner certification is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Create, document, and lead scrum team backlog (writing user stories / acceptance criteria, supporting prioritization, running refinement sessions, etc.)
  • Collaborate closely with business partners, development teams, external vendors, and QA on plans, project management, requirements, design, testing, and implementation of solutions throughout the development lifecycle
  • Support deployment, business readiness, and solution enablement, e.g., defining and documenting enablement tasks, supporting user procedure documentation, creation and delivery of solution training to internal teams, and communication
  • Prioritize multiple initiatives and business analysis tasks at the same time
  • Interact closely with Subject Matter Experts and partners across Fidelity Health Benefits domain to elicit Product requirements
  • Work with UXD teams to support prototyping
  • Translate business vision into defined and prioritized user stories for team’s backlog
  • Understand sophisticated customer needs, translate them into user stories with concrete acceptance criteria, and drive solution formulation with a multi-functional team
  • Provide consulting, support, and guidance to leadership, squad members, and other relevant partners to influence culture and behaviors
