The Business Analyst – Student Administration serves as the functional lead and subject matter expert for the Workday Student platform, partnering with Enrollment Management, Admissions, Registrar, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Academic Affairs, International Student Services, Student Success, and other university departments to optimize student administrative processes and enhance the student experience. This position is responsible for analyzing business processes, translating institutional requirements into Workday solutions, supporting system configuration, managing functional security, coordinating system testing, developing reports and dashboards, documenting business processes, and providing functional leadership for Workday Student initiatives. The Business Analyst serves as the liaison between functional departments, Information Technology, and LSU System partners to ensure Workday Student effectively supports institutional operations and strategic objectives. The incumbent will lead continuous process improvement initiatives, evaluate new Workday functionality released during biannual updates, participate in enterprise governance activities, coordinate testing and deployment of new functionality, and ensure business processes align with university policies, accreditation requirements, and LSU System standards. This position requires extensive collaboration with campus stakeholders to improve operational efficiency, increase data quality, enhance reporting capabilities, support regulatory compliance, and provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and staff.
