About The Position

The Business Analyst Intern is an entry-level participant in Mutual Group’s Mutual Aspire Internship Program, a 10-week, full-time, on-site summer internship in Westlake Village, California, running May 25–August 6, 2027. The intern will gain hands-on exposure to financial services through operational tasks, research and analysis, project work, and collaboration with teams across the business. The role supports work that improves client experience, data quality, and operational efficiency, while offering mentorship and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Assist team members with periodic client- and adviser-related tasks.
• Review, audit, and update data to keep client records, notes, and activity tracking accurate and current.
• Organize and maintain electronic files for advisers, clients, and internal teams.
• Collaborate with fellow interns on a potential capstone project and present findings and recommendations.
• Complete administrative and project tasks accurately, professionally, and on time.
• Conduct research and analysis to support financial teams, key metrics, and reporting.
• Contribute to operational initiatives, including data clean-up and standardized naming conventions.
• Participate in cross-department workshops focused on collaboration and business fundamentals.
• Attend the Aspire Guest Speaker Series and a CTO-led book club focused on leadership and professional growth.
