About The Position

The Business Analyst plays a key role within the project management life cycle, acting as the liaison between IT and business lines. This position supports the delivery of technology initiatives that enable the credit union to operate efficiently, securely, and with a strong member focus. This role bridges business needs and technical capabilities by gathering requirements, analyzing processes, supporting project execution, and ensuring alignment with IT and PMO standards, governance, and strategy. Business Analyst helps drive clarity, consistency, and successful solution delivery across the credit union.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in business process modeling, requirements gathering, and data analysis.
  • Experience with Office 365, SQL, Symitar, and other financial system tools.
  • Familiarity with financial regulations affecting credit unions.
  • Experience working with project stakeholders and senior decision makers
  • Use Case and Wireframe Modeling.
  • Detail oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of IT, Business Analyst and PMO methodologies.
  • 0 – 12 months of experience having exposure to projects or relevant experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Experience with the Symitar core platform in addition to other Jack Henry products required.
  • Ability to perform in a high-volume environment and meet deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Technologically proficient.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with PMO and business units on organizational projects to analyze operational needs, regulatory requirements, workflow bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Document clear and complete business requirements, functional specifications, technical requirements, process diagrams, and user stories.
  • Facilitate structured discovery sessions with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and technical specialists.
  • Support the development of business requirements, technical feasibility reviews, and solution assessments.
  • Collaborate with project managers to define project scope, timelines, risks, and deliverables.
  • Ensure projects follow IT standards, SDLC processes, PMO governance, and security / change management protocols.
  • Maintain IT documentation, templates, and process guides.
  • Map and analyze current‑state and future‑state processes across operational, digital, and back‑office systems.
  • Recommend technology‑enabled improvements that enhance member experience, reduce risk, and support operational excellence.
  • Assist with change readiness planning, including end‑user training materials and stakeholder communications.
  • Assist with testing preparation, validation of requirements, and quality assurance for IT solutions.
  • Build strong relationships across business departments, IT teams, and vendors.
  • Act as a liaison between technical staff and non‑technical stakeholders to ensure strong alignment on scope and expectations.
  • Communicate clearly regarding project status, requirements clarity, impacts, and decisions.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Perform other related duties as requested and special projects as assigned.
